Adelanto
is a mid-size town located in the Victor Valley area of the High
Desert of southern California. The beautiful high desert air is
always clean and dry and fresh, and the skies are bright and sunny
during the day and filled with stars at night. This gives way
for unlimited scenic views of the surrounding San Bernardino and
San Gabriel Mountains.
Outdoor recreation abounds near Adelanto in the San Bernardino
National Forest, Joshua Tree National Park, Mojave Narrows Regional
Park and Silverwood Lake State Recreational Area. All offer mountain
and lake activities such as swimming, fishing and boating, all
types of water sports, hiking and mountain biking trails and picnic
areas. Joshua Tree is located within two desert regions; the Mojave
Desert and the Colorado Desert. This is an area of contrasts,
with the Mojave being higher and having more annual rainfall than
the Colorado Desert.

Attractions
Between these two major cities, lie many beautiful coastal
towns like Monterey and Santa Barbara plus the spectacular
scenic coastline of Big Sur. Forests of giant redwoods, and
snowcapped mountain peaks are easily accessible in the Sierra
Nevada high country just a few hours to the east. The Mojave
desert and the resort city of Palm Springs are not far from
Los Angeles. California offers many wonderful attractions
in such proximity that you are never more than a short drive
from another attraction in a different landscape and a different
climate. California is a great place to visit.
