As a veteran you may be no longer serving the nation but the long, dedicated, and self-less services that you rendered for the country do not go unacknowledged by the airlines. Most airlines in the U.S offer veteran discount flights, offers, free baggages, and premium lounge access among others, to solemnly recognize the services of the veterans for the country. If you are planning to book your tickets for the upcoming trip, best is to check our list below to know which airlines offer veteran discounts, their eligibility, and process.

JetBlue Airlines: JetBlue supports the veterans by providing a generous 5% discount on everyday JetBlue travel to 85+ destinations across the U.S, the Caribbean, and Latin America. This offer is valid only for veterans enrolled in the Veteran Advantage group. Additionally, the Veteran Advantage members are also allowed to check-in two additional baggages without charge. To avail the veteran discount, you have to callĀ 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) and provide your unique VetRewards Card Member ID to verify.

Alaska Airlines: Alaska Airline salutes the veterans and offers a 5% discount for Veterans Advantage members. The discount is applicable for all fare classes and routes with no blackout dates or number of tickets purchased; you can add up to 5 companions on the discounted booking. The VetRewards discount is valid on one-way or roundtrip flight tickets only. To book discounted tickets, you can have to present your VetRewards ID Card.

United Airlines: The airline thanks the veterans for their services by extending a 5% discount to members of the Veterans Advantage group. This discount is valid only for United and United Express operated flights purchased on united.com. The airline only covers eight or less reservations. To avail the discounts, you must register for membership with Veteran Advantage and get a valid VetRewards card.

Allegiant Air: Allegiant Air honors the veterans and spouses or dependents by offering up to three free checked baggage each weighing less than 40 lbs. It also does not charge the veterans for oversized checked baggage or boarding pass printing at the airport. Additionally, Allegiant Air allows the veterans to carry one carry-on-bag and up to one pet in the cabin, free of cost. To gain these advantages, you must present valid credentials including one form of valid military ID; dependents must present their Military Dependent ID Card.

Hawaiian Airlines: Hawaiian Airlines supports Veterans by offering a 5% off, across all classes of service everyday without any blackouts, for Veterans Advantage members enrolled with VetRewards. You can buy unlimited number of discounted tickets with this annually. Additionally, the airline also offers a complimentary Pau Hana Cafe meal and Koloa Rum drink for the veterans. You need to subscribe to Veterans Advantage and get the VetRewards Card, to access these offers.
